3D/MEP/BIM Coordination
What was done...

This project started with coordination of concrete pours. The project team carefully examined the foundations and footings, then developed a pour plan which was transformed into Integrated Work Plans (IWP's) for the field crews. This process eliminates the need to use multiple sets of prints to accomplish one task, resulting in higher quality pours. Then, the project team conducted 3D/MEP/BIM coordination of all the major systems of the building. Subcontractors were responsible for modeling their systems in 3D and submitting for clash detection. It was then my responsibility to compile all the models to perform clash detection. We, as a team, spent six months coordinating the entire building. Because of our efforts and integration of new processes, we finished coordination a full three months earlier than scheduled.
